Band Information- Lighting & Projection
Through a grant from the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development and the Erie Community Foundation and through the gifts of individuals in the Edinboro and McKean area, we are pleased to offer quality lighting and projection equipment for your concert. We have a ceiling-mounted, 1600 lumens Panasonic projector which will display an 8’ by 10’ image on the wall behind you as you play. We will project text and images through the use of PowerPoint. We will also use our digital camera to display live images of the concert. We can also display VHS video, 8mm video and DVD images. If you wish to develop a PowerPoint stack or other video presentation for use with your concert, you may do so. Be certain that your video images comply with the guidelines for bands. We reserve the right to preview slide shows and videos and will not show any material deemed inappropriate. Your PowerPoint stack may be transferred via floppy disk or CD ROM. The lighting system consists of an NSI 8 channel dimmer and an NSI 2 scene lighting console. Various Par 56 and 64 fixtures will be provided. Lights will be setup and focused in a general format providing sufficient lighting to all parts of the stage. Special lighting needs should be communicated with our technical director at least 1 week prior to the date of the show. In general, lighting will not be changed for each show. Our volunteers will run the lights from our lighting booth, but you are welcome to have someone who knows your show work with him. Specific equipment used: • Panasonic
projector with 2 RGB inputs, 1 RCA input and 1 S Note: If you provide a Hi8mm tape, we will record what the house camera is doing. It will include special effects and is not intended to be a record of your band only. The sound quality will not be anything to write home about either, but it can be fun to watch. Please, put your band’s name on the tape. Questions? Email our Technical Director, Mike Ickes (MikeIckes@aol.com) |
