Mission, Statement of Vision, and Purpose
The vision of The Hangout is to create a place that honors the mission of Jesus Christ where vital, relevant activities provide the vehicle for development of authentic relationships.
The mission of The Hangout
is to provide a community resource whereby young people can come to know
Jesus Christ and nurture a relationship with Him.
The purposes of The Hangout are:
1. Provide the opportunity
for hurting and unchurched youth to hear the gospel
of Jesus Christ.
2. Develop authentic relationships between Christian adults and young people.
3. Provide appropriate activities for all types of youth ages
13-21.
4. Provide positive , Christian, adult role models for young people
of the area.
5. Provide a place where relationships with Christian adults and Christian
peers are nurtured.
6. Direct young people beginning to nurture a relationship with Jesus
Christ into area church programs which will disciple and develop
that relationship.
